A notebook for curious weekends.
Sunday Memos is one question a week, followed all the way down. Why do we put things off? Where did 10,000 steps come from? Is spinach really full of iron? Each memo starts with something I couldn’t stop wondering about and ends somewhere I didn’t expect.
What you’ll find here
- Body: sleep, food, movement, and the advice everyone repeats.
- Mind: habits, motivation, and why we do what we do.
- Work: focus, tools, and systems that actually stick.
- Curious: odd histories and things that only look obvious later.
How it’s written
Every memo goes back to where a claim actually came from: the study, the archive, the person who said it first. The sources sit at the bottom of each memo, so you can follow the trail yourself. Then it gets told the way you’d tell a friend: as a story, with the surprising part left in.
If I get something wrong, I fix it and say so on the corrections page.
Who’s behind it
One person, with no name on it for now. I’d rather the memos stand on their own than ask you to trust a face or a title. If that ever changes, you’ll hear it here first.
A note on health memos
Some memos are about bodies, food and sleep. They’re curious notes, not medical advice, and they can’t know your situation. For anything about your own health, talk to your own clinician. The disclaimer has the details.
