What Sunday Memos collects, why, who else sees it, and what you can do about it. Last updated October 25, 2026.

Who runs this site

Sunday Memos is published under a pen name. For anything about your data, write to hello@sundaymemos.com.

What’s collected

If you subscribe: your email address, sent to Kit (the email service that delivers the Memos), along with whether you open or click the emails.

If you email me: whatever you choose to write, kept in my inbox.

Analytics, only if you agree: if you accept analytics cookies in the banner, Google Analytics records which pages are visited, roughly where visitors are (country or city level), what device and browser they use, and how they arrived. IP addresses aren’t stored by Google Analytics, advertising features are switched off, and the data is kept for two months. If you reject, or ignore the banner, no analytics cookies are set.

Running the site: the host (Hostinger) and its security and caching systems keep short-lived technical logs, such as IP address, browser and requested page, to keep the site working and safe.

Who else processes it

  • Hostinger: hosting, security and backups
  • Google (Google Analytics and Search Console): visit statistics, only with your consent
  • Kit: newsletter delivery, only if you subscribe
  • Brevo: delivery of the site’s own system emails

Some of these companies are in the United States, so your data may be transferred there under their standard contractual safeguards. Your data isn’t sold, and it isn’t used for advertising.

Your choices

You can change your cookie choice at any time with the cookie settings link at the bottom of every page. You can unsubscribe from any email with the link at its foot. You can ask to see, correct or delete any personal data connected to you by emailing the address above.

Health information

This site publishes articles about health, but it doesn’t ask for or knowingly collect information about your health. Please don’t send medical records or personal health details. If you’re in a US state with a consumer health data law, such as Washington’s My Health My Data Act: no analytics run without your opt-in consent, and nothing collected here is sold or shared for advertising. You can ask for access to or deletion of any data connected to you, or withdraw consent, using the email address above.

Children

Sunday Memos isn’t directed at children under 16 and doesn’t knowingly collect their information.
